Safety is Van Rooyen Construction’s top priority in every construction project we take on.

We aim to have every employee return home to their loved ones after the end of each work day. Van Rooyen Construction is actively involved with the Alberta Construction Safety Association in maintaining our COR certificate, and participate in the Partnerships in Injury Reduction program with the Workers’ Compensation Board.

Van Rooyen Construction is highly committed to providing leadership and the proper training within our company to help prevent any injuries or losses to our personnel as well as the general public and environment.

The core elements of our safety program include:

  • Extensive Risk Management Process: hazard identification, daily on-the-ground safety meetings & job safety analysis
  • Internal/external auditing
  • Company wide health and safety meetings;
  • Regular worksite inspections
  • Incident tracking

Management is committed to providing proper equipment, training policies, practices and procedures. Workers are responsible for following all procedures, working safely and, wherever possible, improving health and safety measures. An injury and incident-free workplace is our goal.
